A UK Promoter Buys Their Very Own Croatian Island

Imagine driving on Pacific Coast Highway. You could not resist dreaming about one-day buying Catalina Island and making it into our very own Ibiza. Well, some people do get their private Ibiza. According to Resident Advisor, a UK promoter named Sound Channel has bought their very own Croatian island.

According to EDM Sauce, the promoter wants to turn the island into a destination where international travelers can enjoy music, art, and culture.

Here is what Sound Channel’s Dan Blackledge told Music Week:

“We’ve been working on this project for three years which has given us time to carefully refine our ideas. “Our vision for the island of Obonjan is to regenerate the island and turn it into a truly unique concept, combining art and music, wellness, sustainable living, amazing food and drink and fun and creative accommodation, all on an idyllic island paradise.”

Kristijan Gržetić added: “Croatia till now is recognised as a destination for families, and this project will put it up there with world trends, as an urban and modern destination.”
