David Guetta has been called the godfather of EDM because of his fun dance beats. Born in Paris in 1967, Pierre David Guetta became interested in electronic music and DJing at age 13. Only five years later, he was DJing at local clubs. At 19, he began organizing his own club nights, where he mostly played acid house. He released his first studio album in 2002, to positive feedback. In 2005, he was first featured on this list and also received the Best DJ of the Year and Best DJ Set of the Year awards during the House Music Awards. In 2010, David Guetta was nominated for five Grammy awards. Best known for collaborations with a variety of artists, and his fun danceable music, David Guetta has only continued to rise in popularity in recent years.
