Niles “Cyranizzy” Hollowell-Dhar also known as KSHMR is an electro house producer from Berkeley, California. Prior to 2013, Niles and David “Campa” Benjamin Singer-Vine were an American hip-hop indie-pop duo The Cataracs. Niles and Vine received their most mainstream success in 2010, when they were signed to Universal Records, with the song “Like a G6” that was number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 for two weeks.
After David’s departure, Niles kept producing his music and performing under the name the Cataracs for some time, but eventually he changed his stage name to KSHMR and focused on continuing his music career producing EDM. Nile’s notable works include his collaborations with the biggest EDM stars such as Tiesto, Borgeous, Firebeatz, R3hab, and many others.
KSHMR’s popularity is growing rapidly within the EDM scene. He was introduced to the main stage crowd at Ultra Music Festival by Tiesto during his set when he played his newest track called “Secrets” that he produced together with KSHMR, featuring Vassy (Vasiliki Karagiorgos).
At the same time, not many people know that KSHMR produced multiple big festival tracks for other DJs. You will be surprised to realize that some of your favorite EDM tracks were actually written by Niles. Checkout some examples below and feel free to suggest other KSHMR’s ghost-produced tracks in the comment section below on social media (@sfravearea).
