Tommy Lee and Nick Thayer Team Up for “Fly S***”
Tommy Lee, Mötley Crüe drummer, is a part of a new rock/funk/hip-hop inspired anthem. But, he did not go on this quest alone. Tommy Lee and Nick Thayer, alongside with Mikill Pane, a UK rapper, have produced a new track called ‘Fly Shit’.

So, we have an international collaboration – a Greece-American musician Tommy Lee, UK rapper Mikill Pane, and Australian producer Nick Thayer.
Before he became a DJ, Thayer spent some time playing in metal bands. You can only imagine his excitement when he teamed up with his childhood hero – Tommy Lee.
According to Thayer and Pulse Radio, ‘Fly Shit’ was produced in an LA studio with Tommy Lee. The vocals with Pane were recorded later on in London.
The reason why Thayer loves Tommy Lee so much is his energy.
“I love his wordplay, and the flow is super tight. Then we were talking about Tommy and watching some YouTube videos of him drumming and he was yelling ‘Yeah motherfuckers!’ and all this other stuff and we thought ‘you can’t fake that kind of energy’, and plus it sounded fantastic over the beat so that became the hook.”
The tune was recently released. It is meant to help promote Tommy Lee, as well as Mötley Crüe’s “Final Tour.” The tour will take place across the US, starting July 22, 2015. The last show will be on December 31, 2015. You can check the dates and locations on the Mötley Crüe official Facebook page.
