Hardwell’s North American Tour 2014
Kostya V.
October 25th, 2014
Labeled as a “new rock n’ roll”, electronic dance music has moved from underground nightclubs and warehouse raves into the mainstream of music. Avicii, Krewella, and Hardwell, Skrillex, Zedd, Tiesto are releasing top singles, and their popularity is growing daily.
Hardwell, a Dutch progressive and electro house DJ and music producer, was voted #1 by DJ Mag’s annual Top 100 DJs poll in 2013 and 2014. Hardwell is only 26 and is from Breda, Netherlands (same town as Tiesto). He created the record label Revealed Recordings in 2010 and launched his own radio show Hardwell on Air in 2011. Hardwell has released five compilation albums and a documentary film through Revealed Recordings.
Hardwell has come to the top in ten short years. At the age of 25, Hardwell was the youngest winner of the Top 100 DJs award and now has a legacy that will last for ages. His sound includes drum ensembles that are daring, synths that are creative, and emotive cords. He is the ultimate Big Room House DJ.
Some of Hardwell’s most played tracks include Never Say Goodbye (compilation with Dyro and Bright Lights), Apollo, Spaceman, Countdown and Jumper.
Hardwell took over time square to announce his tour cities and dates. With billboards, electronic examples on skyscraper-sized bulletin boards, he rocked fans with previews of his upcoming performances. Times Square stunned!
