Nick van de Wall, better known by his stage name Afrojack, was born in 1987 in Spijkenisse, Netherlands. Afrojack expressed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at age five. By the time he was 14, the young artist was already performing in local clubs. At this time, he also made extra money by creating websites for other musicians. In 2007, Afrojack released his first album, In Your Face, which was met with significant international success. He is known for collaborating and producing with other big name artists, including Madonna, Beyonce, and Pitbull. In 2011, he was nominated for a Grammy and made his first appearance on this list. The following year, Afrojack received the “European Border Breakers Award.”
